"Little Lake Lending," "we," "us," and "our" mean Layma, LLC, doing business as Little Lake Lending.
Overview
We collect personal information to operate our website, evaluate loan applications, service accounts, meet legal and tribal-regulatory obligations, prevent fraud, and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information for third-party marketing.
The amount of information we collect depends on how you use our services. A visitor who only reads public pages provides less information than an applicant or a customer with an open loan.
If you do not provide information we need to underwrite or service a loan, we may not be able to process your application or maintain your account. Submitting information does not guarantee loan approval.
Types of Information
Depending on your relationship with us, we may collect:
Identity and contact information. Name, date of birth, Social Security number, government ID details, postal address, email address, and telephone number.
Application and financial information. Requested loan amount, employment or other income information, pay frequency, banking routing and account numbers, debit-card information if you request Real-Time Funding or certain payment methods, and information about existing obligations you choose to provide.
Credit and public-record information. Information from consumer reporting agencies and similar sources, including credit-history details used in underwriting and account review.
Account and transaction information. Loan number, balances, payment history, payoff requests, rewards activity in Big Fish Rewards, customer-service notes, and records of electronic signatures and consents.
Technical and usage information. IP address, device and browser type, general location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar log data. See the cookies discussion in our Privacy Policy.
Communications. Content of emails, phone calls, contact-form messages, and portal messages you send us, and recordings or transcripts where we notify you that a call may be recorded.
Verification documents. Copies of identity documents, pay stubs, bank statements, or other items you upload so we can verify identity, income, or account ownership.
We do not ask you to provide information about children, and our products are for adults 18 and older.
How Collected
We collect information in these ways:
Directly from you. When you fill out an application, create a login, upload documents, make a payment, enroll in rewards, complete a survey, or contact us.
From your devices. Through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies when you visit the Site, and through server logs.
From service providers who help us operate. For example, identity-verification vendors, payment processors, e-signature platforms, cloud hosting, and customer-support tools, when they return results to us as part of a transaction you initiated.
From consumer reporting agencies and similar data sources. To evaluate creditworthiness, verify identity, and manage risk, as permitted by applicable law.
From your bank or payment network. Confirmations that a payment cleared or was returned, or that a Real-Time Funding attempt succeeded or failed.
From referrals or linked sessions. If you arrive from a marketing partner, we may receive a campaign identifier so we can understand which public message you saw. That does not mean we sell your application file to that partner.
We combine information from these sources so we can evaluate an application and service an account as a single customer relationship.
Purpose
We use personal information to:
- Identify you and create or secure your account
- Evaluate whether you may qualify for a loan and determine terms if you are approved
- Disburse funds and process payments, including ACH and Real-Time Funding
- Service your loan, send billing notices, and handle inquiries, disputes, and complaints
- Operate Big Fish Rewards, including tracking qualifying activity and processing redemptions
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, identity theft, and unauthorized access
- Comply with tribal law, applicable federal law, and lawful requests from government authorities
- Keep records required for lending, accounting, auditing, and consumer-dispute handling
- Improve the Site, train staff, and understand in aggregate how people use our services
- Communicate about your application, your account, and—where permitted—service updates or products
- Honor opt-outs and other privacy requests we are required or able to fulfill
We do not use application data to surprise you with unrelated third-party ads sold from our customer file. See Third-Party Sharing below.
Third-Party Sharing
We share personal information only as needed to run our business, as you direct, or as the law requires. We do not sell personal information for third-party marketing.
Categories of recipients include:
Service providers. Companies that perform services for us under contract—such as identity verification, credit reporting access, payment processing, document storage, e-signature, website hosting, analytics, and customer support. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us, subject to confidentiality and security expectations we set in our contracts.
Consumer reporting agencies. To obtain reports and, where applicable, to report account performance as permitted by law.
Your bank and payment networks. To send or receive funds.
Tribal government and regulators. The Big Valley Band of Pomo Indians and its authorized regulators or auditors, as needed for oversight of Layma, LLC.
Legal and safety recipients. Courts, law enforcement, or other parties when we believe disclosure is required by law, necessary to enforce our agreements, or necessary to protect customers, our enterprise, or the public from fraud or harm.
Successors. If Layma, LLC's lending operations are reorganized, transferred, or similar as part of a tribal-enterprise transaction, information may transfer as part of that business, with continuing privacy commitments.
With your direction. For example, if you ask us to discuss your account with a counselor or other third party you authorize.
Marketing partners who refer traffic to our public Site may receive aggregated or de-identified reporting (for example, that a visit occurred). They do not receive a right to use your loan file for their own marketing because of that referral.
Your Rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have the right to:
- Request access to certain personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of certain information, subject to legal and contractual exceptions (for example, we generally must retain loan records for as long as the law and prudent lending practice require)
- Opt out of promotional email (account and legal notices will still be sent)
- Appeal or follow up if we decline a request we are not required to grant
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, described at a high level in our Privacy Policy.
To make a privacy request, contact us using the information below. We will need to verify your identity before we complete a request that involves personal data. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
If you have an open loan, some deletion requests cannot be completed in full until the account is closed and any required recordkeeping period has passed.
